Atlas Collapses Album Review

After the long wait, Atlas Collapses highly anticipated Debut album is here.

I had the pleasure of attending the CD release show a couple weeks ago and it was not surprising to see so many people out supporting these boys with the track record of projects they have collectively been involved with it was obvious this album was sure not to disappoint fans. I recommend you go check these guys out. They put on a terrific live performance, a lot of fun.

I went for a drive and put on the album to listen to it in its entirety, in order to write this review. I thought it would have only have been fair to really take it in without distractions. This being the second time listening to it, I got more out of some songs I had missed the first time, and got more into the album. My two favorites on this album were ‘Fool’ and ‘The Coral shame’. I actually really like ‘The Coral Shame’  it makes me want to dance. It was the high point of the album in my opinion. Musically, the album, even though fairly up beat at times had a slight early Radiohead essence but with staying very true to their own unique sound.  I did find that it seemed like one song was missing at the end, or that the album didn’t have a conclusion, it just was over.

Over this entire album is definitely worth a listen. There was a lot of time and love put into it and you can really tell. Congrats to David, Booth and Paul and everyone else that worked on it. I’m excited to see what the bright future holds for them, I know that we can expect amazing things to come.

Thanks for caring what I think.
